Editors taking story requests

Pitching begins promptly after critique of the latest issue. All students are required to participate in pitching sessions.

We move in order of the newspaper: news, opinion, feature, entertainment and then sports.

Please don’t raise your hand to pitch an entertainment story when the cohort is only on opinion. If you have a question as to whether what you’re pitching IS an opinion story vs. entertainment, it’s OK to ask.

An editor may “table” a story for another editor, or write it in as a placeholder story for the group to get back to. That doesn’t mean it’s been approved. Stories can’t be approved without proper vetting.
