In order to maintain editorial independence and protect students’ freedom of speech, The Collegian has a strict “Pages Down” policy with regards to employees of Delta College not involved in the journalism program.
What this means is simple: If someone enters the newsroom while content for the newspaper or deltacollegian.net is visibly being worked on, minimize your work. This can be done by clicking the yellow “-” symbol in most Macintosh windows. If someone not involved in the journalism program asks to see what you’re working on, decline and cite this policy.
